About Polish deConstruction
Polish deConstruction is the main platform for Polish artists and designers in the UK. Our aim is simple: to show the London art scene that the Polish community has a lot of talented artists and designers, and first and foremost to provide space for collaboration and exchange of ideas, skills and inspirations.
PdC acts as a platform, both online and live, providing creative people with opportunities to exchange information and meet others. The website has a forum and notice board where you can post information on events, exhibitions, shows, festivals, ect.
To keep a life interaction among its members PdC organises a networking event Every Last Thursday of the month.
PdC was founded in 2007 by Marzena Zoladz and Agata Smuzniak, soon joined by Agnieszka Mlicka. Collaborating on a voluntary basis, together with Lukasz Szyrmer and Mariusz Pozierak, PdC became the leading organisation bringing together Polish Creatives in London.
During the first two years, PdC organised an auction, exhibitions, artist talks, a creative camp and multimedia presentations - connecting and promoting Polish artists and encouraging them to actively participate in cultural life through the development of relationships between artists and organisations. The PdC Team was supported by a bunch of great people, the PdC Group whom we would like to thank for their help.
In 2010 the organisation welcomed a new committee. With Agata Smuzniak still on board. Agnieszka Kucharko, Katarzyna Sobucka, Karolina Merska, Magdalena Glistak and Joanna Buchta have joined PdC to continue developing its successful projects.
